東日本大震災における緊急アピール

日本骨折治療学会会員各位

この度の東北関東大震災の概要が明らかになるにつれ、その被害の甚大さに驚くばかりです。被災された方々には深くご同情申し上げ、亡くなられた方々のご冥福を衷心よりお祈り申し上げます。被災地域の会員の皆様全員のご無事を祈っております。

現在、被災地域の会員の皆様には、非常に限られた条件の下で日夜被災者の治療に当たっておられることと存じます。どうぞ自身の健康にも留意されることをお願い申し上げます。

また周辺地域の会員の皆様の元には今後、被災された方が続々と治療のため転送されてくることと存じます。外傷を扱う我々日本骨折治療学会としては、この未曾有の大惨事に会員の力を結集して被災者の治療に当たり、被災者の一人でも多くの救命と傷害の克服に努力いたしましょう。

今後、医療支援に参加される先生には、安全に十分ご注意され医療活動を行っていただくことをお願い申し上げます。また周辺地域の先生には転送された被災患者の治療に専念していただきたくお願い申し上げます。

なお2006年のスマトラ沖地震で治療に当たったタイの先生より、津波で受傷した患者の治療に関し、添付のようなアドバイスが届いております。津波での受傷ではHigh-pressure injection injuryと同様の受傷機転が働いている可能性がありますのでご注意ください。

添付のアドバイス：

"I would like to share some experience about the patient from Tsunami in 2006. There are many patient who had just no open wound but developed a severe swelling and infection in the limb. /We did not open until a frank signs of huge abscess shown out . When we decided to operate we found out that , there are many small particles like sand...in the plain of fascia and muscle.

After that we decide to perform , Incision and drainage very early in most of the patients. I think the very high speed of the water acted like an injection gun , open the skin and close keeping the small particle inside."

"My humble advice with experience to treat the injured patients is to open and extend the wound even it is a small wound to clean up and wash out the dirt and debris. Do not close any wound from the beginning even it looks benign."
